NetSuite for Small Business: Light vs Mid-Market Edition

When considering NetSuite for your emerging SMB, it’s probable you will license NetSuite Small Business Pricing (also known as “NetSuite Limited Edition”) or NetSuite Mid-Market Edition. There is an Enterprise Edition however we’ll save that topic for another time.

The aim of this post is to help potential NetSuite customers understand the major differences between these two offerings both from a NetSuite features and a NetSuite price comparison.   

NetSuite Small Business Pricing (Limited Edition) and Mid-Market Edition from a technology standpoint are purely identical.  They share the same codebase, SuiteCloud platform, service level agreements, data centers, support, etc. They are virtually identical.

The main distinction really comes down to product positioning and pricing for company size.  Limited Edition is packaged and priced for small businesses and is only available to companies that require less than 10 full user licenses and have less than 50 employees.
